Dragonbird Mods for "The Witcher 2 - Assassins of Kings"

Hoodless Armours

These mods replace hooded armour in the game with a retextured version of a similar hoodless armour.

Santawitcher

The Christmas Special. Based on Dark Mode Kinslayer, but with an option to put it on other armour and swords instead. Mods to Roche and Iorveth are also provided as an option.

Disable Finishers

This mod removes the cutscene finishers that you get after special attacks such as Aard Stun and Adrenaline. It's targetted mainly at Arena players, where the cutscenes can cause you to change location slightly, or allow remaining enemies to regroup while the cutscene is displaying. With the mod installed, the victim(s) of the special attacks will just die, with no cutscene, no animation, and no break in gameplay.

Melitele's Heart Bonus Change

This mod increases the bonus you get from converting Newboy's Talisman into Melitele's Heart. After all the work you put into killing those wraiths, you deserve a little more.

Reduced-Price Dark Mode Items

This reduces the price for purchasing the crafting diagrams, the crafting price, and the quantity of basic ingredients required for the Dark Mode armour and swords. It also changes the Dragonscale to Arachis Shell. Reduces the amount of time you need to spend farming harpies or playing minigames.

Remove Dark-Mode Visual and Sound Effects

Gets rid of the annoying visual effects and stomach rumbling when you're using the Dark Mode sets.

Temporary Mods

A few odds and ends, not loaded to The Nexus as they're not espeicially useful. Totally without warranty.

Geralt's Tattoo

After the "Hung Over" Quest, the tattoo that Geralt receives may disappear later, even if you don't ask anyone to remove it. This puts it back. Unzip into CookedPC/characters/player/model/head

Drop Squire's Boots

Workround for a game bug in version 2.0 (still present in 2.1). If you go straight from the tutorial to the main game, you'll be unable to get rid of the Squire's Boots, as they're marked as a Quest item.

The mod removes the "Quest" tag from Squire's Boots so that you can drop them once you don't need them any more. I recommend you DON'T try to sell them, as it probably won't work (there's no price stored for them), and I also suggest you uninstall the mod after you've dropped the boots, as it may conflict with other mods in the game.

Unzip into CookedPC/items.

Updated 30/12/11 to a version that should work.
