A breath of wind, a falling leaf
A new beginning, another day.
The circle turns, but time's a thief
Does it matter anyway?
A spark of light, a twist of fate
A new direction, different stars
The ones we love, and those we hate
Are we really who we are?
Looking back, you want so much the choice you didn't make
Your eyes fill up with tears as you recall
Suddenly, you only want the road you didn't take
And nothing really mattered after all.
A shadow falls across her face
Silent teardrops start to fall
But disappear without a trace
In the echo of his call.
A shattered dream, but not the first
The disappointment of a child
A trace of hope makes it the worst
As the image is defiled.
